RE: DIRECTOR APPLICATION PROCESS FOR THE 2008-2009 SEASON
It is my pleasure to announce DCT's tentative season for 2008-2009. This season has been approved by both the DCT Production Board and DCT Governing Board, but it is subject to change, depending on the availability of rights for individual shows.
Arsenic and Old Lace , September 12-21, 2008
1776 , October 31-November 9, 2008
Anna in the Tropics , January 23-February 1, 2009

Don't Dress for Dinner , June 5-14, 2009
TBA, July 31-August 9, 2009
We would like to invite you to apply to direct one or more shows in the season. It is unlikely that anyone will be named as director for more than one show. But, since we anticipate having more applicants than we have shows available, we encourage you to apply for ALL of the shows that you have any interest in directing, ranking them based on your preferences. That will make it much easier for us to match up shows and qualified directors! Applications will be evaluated based on each applicant's theatre background/training, prior directorial experience, history of commitment /service to DCT, motivation/enthusiasm, and show concept/vision. The Director Selection Committee is made up of selected members from the DCT Production Board, Governing Board, and community. Final choices are subject to endorsement by the entire membership of both the Production and Governing Boards.
To apply, please follow the outline below. All submissions should be received by Friday, May 9, 2008. Evaluation of applications will begin immediately thereafter and will continue until all director positions are filled. Thank you for your interest in DCT and in making our 2008-2009 season a great success!
